Structure of the Program

Each Advisor interested in the program is paired with a mentor or mentee. The mentor is available to answer questions and give advice on linguistic growth, while the mentee has a place to address concerns with linguistic issues. 

Expectations

Each quarter, mentors and mentees will:

• Receive notification of their mentor/mentee match (by the BDE CLPM) within approximately one week after the mentorship interest is shown.

• Set up and meet for an initial meeting. 

• Meet at least once a month during a mutually convenient time. MS Teams can be used as a distance learning option.

• Discuss the issues or ways to improve the use of the target language.

At the end of each quarter, both parties will complete an AAR noting the growth and improvements needed. Mentor hours completed can be provided for inclusion on evaluation reports or award certificates.
